Regulation of tobacco giants

With regard to the August 11 edition of "Leash on Big Tobacco:

The best "alternative" to the bill to regulate tobacco giants - legislation, which is very "imperfect" because so many concessions have been made to help overcome the obstruction, and threatened to veto - is not the pursuit of passage now, but wait until the next Congress.

The bill is likely to support, not against the new administration and would be likely to face less favorable for business and anti-regulatory Congress; racist menthol exemption can be removed, and the bill could be strengthened without the need for the devastating concessions the current version, which are necessary to provide support for tobacco company Philip Morris.
